The Woman Behind the Brand

 Jaimee's Story

Jaimee K. Colvin comes from a long line of women in the service of Nursing and Healthcare practice. Having grown up in Cincinnati, OH, her grandmother, and inspiration behind the Anna Belle Fields Scholarship, the late Anna Belle Fields was one of the very first African American nurses to be accepted in the United States Military. Also, born as one of three daughters to a single mother (who happens to also hold a Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing as well) she began her journey as a young inner-city child who always had a passion for helping and serving the community.

As Miss Black Teen Cincinnati 1998 and a debutante in the 1999 Phi Delta Kappa cotillion, exposure to innovation, and a thirst for more was birthed. After graduating high school Jaimee continued the family legacy and received her Bachelor of Nursing in Science degree from College of Mount St. Joseph, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and began in telemetry where she became absolutely fascinated with the Cardiovascular System, and how it plays such a pivotal role in our overall health. She then began to search for more on a deeper level which led her to become a Cardiac/Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit Nurse. 

Jaimee set her sights on the world and began traveling as an ICU nurse where she encountered hundreds of new faces and friends who always told her,” There is more inside of you!” After nine years and multiple states of traveling as a caregiver she decided to head back to school to receive her Master of Nursing in Science, where she also graduated Summa Cum Laude with a specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and was granted membership to Sigma Theta Tau.

Jaimee began working with a physician’s group while subsequently launching the first African American woman owned Urgent Care, Community Urgent Care Plus. During this time, she was afforded to work with patients of multiple races, creeds, and socio-economic statuses. This is where she realized that different people have some of the same concerns about their bodies and Skin.   After attending the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, an awareness to skin care and body image concerns arose; hence the birthing of JK MediSpa & Aesthetics.  JK MediSpa & Aesthetics offers Medical Weight Management Services and Aesthetics services including Botox, chemical peels, Microdermabrasion and Microneedling. All services come with a skin care evaluation, and we will be sure to cater your specific concerns.

Recently, Jaimee was honored as the "Black Business Spotlight" winner with 100.3 Cincy's RnB Station & Walker Funeral Homes, and continues to propel forward.  In Summer 2023 Jaimee will be launching her first e-book.
